Community Projects

We are currently delivering a FREE Red-Belt Summer Bootcamp to the children of Wellington & surrounding villages which has been funded through Avon & Somerset Police.

Classes are designed to develop mental strength, build confidence, teach respect for others and raise aspirations, all whilst learning martial arts skills. The 6-week course takes participants through the red-belt syllabus and culminates in a grading where students are tested to be awarded their red-belt and certificate. This course is running for a limited time period however there may be funding available for longer-term placements.

SASP’s Jump Start Programme
We work with Somerset Activities & Sports Partnership (SASP) to offer spaces for disadvantaged children & young people or for those who may need additional mentoring & support to help them actively engage in sport.
If you think you may be eligible for the Jump Start programme you can contact your social worker or contact us direct and we will put you in contact with SASP to confirm eligibility.

Primary & Secondary School Programmes
We have also worked with many primary & secondary schools in Somerset & Devon delivering personal safety courses, self-defence courses and kick-boxing classes and are happy to discuss these in more detail if you are a teacher looking for PSHE or enrichment activities. Workshops are tailored to requirements & ages and can include topics such as personal safety tips, situational awareness, bullying & building inner resilience & self-esteem, conflict resolution strategies or health & fitness. We cover a wide scope!

We are also happy to come into schools to offer taster kick-boxing sessions during PE classes to demonstrate the benefits of stress-relief, which can be especially useful during exam season!
